New Start, New Art

Its been a LONG time.  I have been visiting the site very regularly to check out my favourite artists but personally I haven't submitted anything for about 3 years!  That's not to say I haven't been drawing, because I have been but its been nothing more than sketches really.  And during this hiatus I have found my niche and it is what it always was when I was back in high school.  No more comic book/ game fan art, from now on its girls, monsters, cars and bikes! 

I've also come to really love retro/rockabilly/grindhouse styled art and you will notice it come through in my work, the influence from a few of my absolute favourite artists will be clearly evident but it makes me happy and you know what they say 'imitation is the sincerest form of flattery'. 

So from now on that's all you will be seeing from me Not sure how regularly but then I'm just drawing for me now the things I want to draw whenever I can fit it in around life (hopefully somewhat regularly).  I have a stack of crude sketches lying around either in need of colour or a quick redo so they can be posted, but I'm starting off by posting....wait for it....someone else's work!  did this fantastic Betty Rubble pin up that I just had to colour.  

The next one will be my own lines for sure.
